“Soul Weight” brings together works that trace the emotional and material residue carried by images, tools, and memory. I showed chemigrams of my face paired with photograms of dismantled cameras, jars holding cameras dissolving in oil, a stone of contention, a childhood photo of me polishing shoes, my partner’s drawing of my shadow, and a work based on the technical drawings of the first camera I inherited from my grandfather.
